A Assembleia Legislativa de Santa Catarina recebeu, no dia 11 de dezembro, uma visita do vice-governador da Província do Sul do Mar Egeu, na Grécia, Stelio Brigos. Na reunião com o presidente da Casa, Silvio Dreveck (PP) e o deputado Altair Silva (PP), Brigos falou sobre parcerias turísticas e culturais entre as duas regiões.
Entre os objetivos da reunião, está o desenvolvimento de tratativas para um acordo de regiões irmãs entre Santa Catarina e a região grega ao sul do Mar Egeu. Para o presidente Silvio Dreveck, a iniciativa é positiva e é uma oportunidade para Santa Catarina conhecer mais sobre o turismo grego. “A conversa foi muito positiva. Nós precisamos agregar também o próprio Executivo, então a nossa missão vai ser, além do parlamento, envolver o governo e a classe empresarial, que já está se conversando. Já temos um diálogo bem avançado com a própria Fecomércio, que tem interesse. Então, eu acredito que podemos dar uma grande contribuição, fortalecendo o nosso turismo e buscando também conhecer um pouco dessa história do turismo lá na Grécia e que vai somar aqui no estado”, frisou Drevck.
Entre os principais destinos da região ao Sul do Mar Egeu, está a Ilha de Mykonos, que tem cerca de dez mil habitantes e, durante a alta temporada, recebe aproximadamente dois milhões de turistas. O vice governador destacou que, assim como em Santa Catarina, a região grega também possui uma temporada de três meses, porém, em uma diferente época do ano, tornando possível o desenvolvimento de um trabalho conjunto para que turistas gregos venham mais a Santa Catarina e turistas catarinenses possam visitar mais a região ao Sul do Mar Egeu.
“Esse é nosso objetivo. Nossa alta temporada é de três meses, mas temos muitas oportunidade para ampliá-la. Nós oferecemos muitas atividades ao longo do ano. Por exemplo, em Santorini temos o lugar perfeito para casamentos; em Naxos temos eventos gastronômicos durante todo ano. Estamos abrindo o mercado para além dos três meses de temporada e é por isso que estamos no topo da lista europeia de turismo internacional”, afirmou o vice-governador grego.
